Lost Foam Casting Sand Box
The sand box for lost foam casting is a core piece of process equipment for implementing the lost foam casting process. As the key container that holds dry sand and foam patterns and establishes and maintains a stable vacuum negative-pressure field, the performance of the sand box directly determines casting dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and yield rate.
Our sand box series is designed to meet different casting characteristics and production requirements. From standard side vacuum-extraction types and high-efficiency bottom-discharge types to fully automated integrated designs, all models are engineered with optimized negative-pressure structures and reinforced box rigidity, forming stable and reliable production equipment for lost foam casting.
· All-round negative-pressure design: The sand box can be equipped with uniformly distributed negative-pressure chambers on five sides, providing stable and omnidirectional supporting force without dead zones for the casting.
· Robust negative-pressure chamber structure: The negative-pressure chambers are fabricated from structural profiles or bent steel plates. This design not only forms a stable vacuum cavity but also enhances overall rigidity and resistance to deformation, ensuring a long service life.
· Heavy-duty frame structure: The main body is welded from steel plates and structural steel sections, offering high strength and the ability to withstand heavy loads during vibration compaction, pouring, and lifting operations.

We provide a full range of lost foam casting sand boxes with comprehensive non-standard customization. There are no fixed specifications for lost foam sand boxes; each unit is designed according to the customer’s casting pattern dimensions, shapes, and production capacity requirements, maximizing sand box utilization and overall production line efficiency.
· Casting analysis: Determine the three-dimensional dimensions, weight, and material of the largest casting pattern cluster (including gating and risers).
· Sand volume determination: Based on casting characteristics, define the required sand thickness in each direction to calculate the minimum internal dimensions of the sand box.
· Level of automation: Clarify whether the production mode is single-machine operation or an integrated automated line.
· Matching of auxiliary equipment: Sand box dimensions are directly related to the load capacity of the vibration compaction table, the pumping capacity of the vacuum system, and sand handling capacity, and therefore must be planned as a complete system.
· Negative-pressure uniformity: Priority should be given to sand boxes with evenly distributed negative-pressure chambers and superior permeability, as this is essential for stable casting quality.
· Structural durability: Focus on main body material thickness, welding quality, and the structural design of the negative-pressure chambers.
We provide a complete service process covering process consultation – customized design – manufacturing – installation and commissioning, ensuring reliable and efficient lost foam casting solutions.
